ICAR-IARI Announces Walk-In Interview for Senior Research Fellow in Tomato Hybrid Technology Project

The Division of Vegetable Science at the ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI) in New Delhi has announced a walk-in interview for a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) position. This opportunity is part of the ICAR-funded project on Hybrid Technology for Tomato. The interview will take place on July 25, 2024 at the Division of Vegetable Science, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi.


The selected SRF will receive a fixed monthly stipend of Rs. 35,000 along with a 27% House Rent Allowance (HRA), in accordance with ICAR guidelines. There is one position available.

Eligible candidates must possess a Master's degree in Genetics, Plant Breeding, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related subjects from a recognized university. Additionally, candidates should have a Bachelor's degree (3, 4, or 5 years), a NET qualification, and two years of research experience. Experience in tomato crop breeding is desirable. The age limit for applicants is 35 years, with age relaxations of five years for SC/ST and women, and three years for OBC candidates.

The SRF position is temporary and will be subject to annual review based on progress and funding availability. The appointment will be contractual and will end with the project. Original documents will be verified during the appointment process.

Candidates are required to report for the interview at 2:00 PM on July 25, 2024, at the Division of Vegetable Science, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi.
